VIDEO CONTENT CREATOR
(Camera Operator & Editor)

Mastermind Studios in Kamloops, BC is now seeking to hire a permanent full-time person in our video production department for a VIDEO CONTENT CREATOR. Mastermind Studios is a full-service video production agency for creative content across multiple distribution platforms including television, cinema, streaming media, social, mobile and web.

Mastermind Studios is focused on growing the motion picture industry within the BC Interior while sustaining its business model through the sales, production and distribution of creative commercial content for business communications and advertising.

TITLE: Video Content Creator

STARTING DATE: May 1st, 2019

WAGE: The minimum starting wage for this position is $20.00, however, the pay scale is negotiated & commensurate with education and experience.

BENEFITS: A benefits package is available after a three (3) month probationary period review.

HOURS: Permanent – Full Time (Minimum 32 hours per week. Must be willing and available to work evenings and weekends).

LOCATION: Mastermind Studios, 954 Laval Crescent, Kamloops, BC, V2C 5P5

  3. Mastermind Studios will check all references for short-listed applicants and top applicants will be required to attend an in-person interview at Mastermind Studios in Kamloops, BC.
  4. The top proponent will be required to submit a clean Drivers Abstract and complete and pass a Criminal Records Check along with the additional Vulnerable Sector Check for working with children and vulnerable populations.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:

  • Must be able to pass a criminal records check with the additional ability to work with vulnerable populations. 
  • Drivers license and good abstract
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends. 
  • Good sense of humour. 
  • Storytelling skills. 
  • Interview skills. 
  • Editing skills – experience with Adobe Premiere or Final Cut. 
  • Attention to detail with great grammar and spelling. 
  • Shooting skills – able to demonstrate great creative shot choices.
  • A good understanding of colour temperature
  • Able to work individually or on a team to produce commercial content
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a film set in multiple roles. 
  • Sound production & post-production experience
  • Very organized for data management and file management. 
  • Must like Star Wars. 
  • Good communicator / people skills. 
  • Assertive but not aggressive. 
  • Professional representation for the company. 
  • Efficient and quick. 
  • Must be willing to sign a non-compete agreement. 
  • Permanent Residents of Canada
  • Must have their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) ie. Steel-toe footwear
