Main Studio Facilities

The main studio building is 3,250 square feet of reception space, in-house production offices, green room, board room, visiting production offices, hair & makeup, and a smaller 250 square foot green screen and interview stage with vaulted ceiling. We have the studio space to accommodate your project, plus all the support facilities and spaces to make everything run smoothly, Mastermind Studios’ main studio allows our team of creative professionals to create custom solutions for your next video production or photography project. The size and scope of Mastermind Studios’ facilities provide the flexibility and customization to meet the needs of many different sized projects including custom built sets to silo shots and vignettes for smaller productions.

Mastermind Studios offers short-term, flexible production and pre production office space. Need an office for one week? We can help you! Need to be in an office tomorrow? We can offer that to you. The production office space includes a high speed internet connection and office furniture along with all of the other amenities available at our studio in Kamloops, British Columbia. Need a space for your next Pre-Production Meeting, don’t go to a hotel- come here! From conference calls to wardrobe tests. We have it all- free parking, WIFI and our conference call speaker phone system.

Mastermind Studios is proud to offer part of our facility, or our entire facility to host your next function or event. When you’re on a tight shooting schedule and need to maximize your budget the last thing you need to be doing is signing for deliveries and directing people where they can wait for you. For your convenience the Mastermind Studios’ campus provides full reception services along with comfortable, furnished, well equipped client offices and meeting areas. In addition to providing a quiet work spaces and offices, the studio also features redundant hi-speed Telus fibre optic connectivity with both wired and wi-fi access, VOIP telephone services, office networking with full access to our business copy & print center, complimentary beverage service, conference areas and more. Large flat screen televisions are mounted in both the main meeting / boardroom area as well as the client lounge / green room. Our networked 4K smart TVs are also fully equipped with Google Chromecast Ultra 4K TV streaming.

Client Green Room & Lounge

The Mastermind Studios Green Room / Client Lounge includes comfortable lounge area seating along with free Wifi and flat screen television fully equipped with Google Chromecast. The kitchen area comes equipped with commercial-grade coffee brewer, microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven, and dishwasher. And, if you haven’t already noticed, you may come into close contact with some Star Wars fans throughout the Mastermind Studios’ campus.

Mastermind Studios is also equipped and staffed to provide both catering & craft services for all your cast and crew. Or, if you prefer, there is a cafe/restaurant (The Stock Pot Cafe) two buildings over from the main studio building. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch six days per week.

Hair & Makeup

Make-up and hair are key elements in the overall design of films and television productions, creating a look for the characters in relation to social class, and time periods, and any other elements required to create an authentic and compelling performance.

Mastermind Studios can provide both the hair & makeup facilities as well as the professionally trained crew for Make-up and Hair Designers, Wig and Prosthetic Makers, Costume Designers, Make-up and Hair Artists and Hairdressers. We have everything you need to support your next production at Mastermind Studios.

Client Offices & Meeting Area

Because business doesn’t wait while you are on location for a video or photo shoot, the Mastermind Studios’ campus includes comfortable, furnished, well equipped client offices and meeting areas. Recording Studio A in the Main Building

In addition to our Sound Stage Building Mastermind Studios also offers a fully equipped smaller green screen and recording studio in our main studio building for on-camera interviews, casting calls, workshops, and any other purposes that our clients require.

Interview and Podcast Space

A recent addition to our ever expanding repertoire of studio spaces, this space is big enough for interviews and podcasts for up to three while being within COVID-19 guidelines. With the control room right next this space, we have the ability to run fully produced, multi-camera, ATEM switched live broadcasts for any interviews, events, workshops, or training programs that have been moved online due to COVID-19
